Shubuh is one of the few times between times, where Allah Ta'ala commands Muslims to pray at that time. Allah Ta'ala said,
أقم الصلاة لدلوك الشمس إلى غسق الليل وقرآن الفجر إن قرآن الفجر كان مشهودا
"Establish prayer from after the sun slip until dark night and (also pray) Shubuh. Truly Shubuh tu is witnessed (by angels). "(Surat al-Isra ': 78)
How many Muslims are negligent in doing shubuh prayer. They prefer to continue their sleep instead of waking up to perform the prayers. If we look at the number of jama'ah who pray shubuh in the mosque, will feel different compared with the number of jama'ah at other prayers.
The virtue of Shubuh Prayer
When a person does the prayer shubuh, undoubtedly he will find many virtues. Among its virtues is
(1) One of the causes of entering heaven
Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
من صلى البردين دخل الجنة
"Whoever does the bardain prayer (ie shubuh prayer and ashar) then he will go to heaven." (Narrated by Bukhari 574 and Muslim No. 635)
(2) One barrier goes to hell
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
لن يلج النار أحد صلى قبل طلوع الشمس وقبل غروبها
"It will not enter the hell of one who performs the prayers before the sun (ie the shubuh prayer) and the prayer before the sunset (ie the ashar prayer)." (Narrated Muslim No. 634)
(3) Being in God's assurance
Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
من صلى صلاة الصبح فهو في ذمة الله فلا يطلبنكم الله من ذمته بشيء فإنه من يطلبه من ذمته بشيء يدركه ثم يكبه على وجهه في نار جهنم
"Whoever prays dawn then he is in God's assurance. Therefore do not let God demand anything from you of His guarantees. For whom God has demanded with something of His guarantees, Allah will certainly find it, and will lay it down on his face in a hell of hell. "(Narrated by Muslim No. 163)
(4) Calculated as full overnight prayer
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
من صلى العشاء في جماعة فكأنما الصبح في جماعة فكأنما صلى الليل كله
"Whoever prays isya` congregation then as if he had prayed night for half the night. And whoever prays shubuh in congregation then as if he has prayed all night. "(HR Muslim No. 656)
(5) Witnessed by angels
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
وتجتمع ملائكة الليل وملائكة النهار في صلاة الفجر
"And the angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the morning prayer (dawn)." (Narrated by Bukhari 137 and Muslim no.632)
Threat to those who abandon Shubuh Prayer
Though many virtues that can be obtained if someone is doing shubuh prayer. Are not we afraid to be said as a hypocrites for leaving the prayer shubuh? And most people leave the prayer shubuh because of sleep activity. Nabishallallahu 'alaihi wa sallambersabda,
إن أثقل صلاة على المنافقين صلاة العشاء وصلاة الفجر ولو يعلمون ما فيهما لأتوهما ولو حبوا
"Surely the most severe prayer performed by the hypocrites is the isya prayer and the dawn prayer. If they knew the virtue of both, they would come to him even by crawling. "(Narrated by Bukhari 657 and Muslim No. 651)
Sufficient threats are said to be hypocrites make us always pay attention to this one worship.
May Allah always give guidance to all of us, especially for men to be able to perform congregational prayers in the mosque.
