As romantic as that sounds I'm going to have to disagree.

Hands up if you've crunched your numerology numbers and came to the realisation (after being totally honest with yourself) that there's something going on there.

I reckon there's a lot riding on name choice.

Years ago my main concern was choosing a name that kids couldn't make fun of and one people can actually pronounce properly.

Take it from someone who's name can only be pronounced properly by Filipinos. I've resigned myself to all sorts of variations over the years until I finally gave up and renamed myself Arly.

Numerology

Numerology is the study of numbers and how they relate to you. Just as every color vibrates on a different frequency, every number does too - and just as you’re naturally attracted to some colors more than others, different numbers resonate with you more than others. Source

I've been following Sarah on Facebook for years actually and when I was considering baby names months ago I asked her if she made sure her kids' names weren't missing numbers and she said yes. If I remember correctly, it was so they could live their full potential.

Ok, so what's this missing numbers thing?

Right! Where to start?

In numerology there are several numbers to be calculated and all these numbers end up giving one a glimpse of one's traits - good, bad, challenges, strengths etc.

There's the birth day number which is your Birth Path number ~ Calculated by adding the numbers of your day of birth only until it's reduced to a single digit. For example if you're born on the 23rd, it's 2+3=5 making 5 your birth path number.

Then there's the Life Path number which is calculated by adding all the numbers of your date of birth. Destiny aka Expression Number which is all the letters of your name added up together. Soul number is when the vowels (and the letter Y) are added up together.

It just keeps going you guys....

Anyway, really really long story short. I got so deep into this today that I ended up creating a spreadsheet that will help calculate the major numbers which are..

Make sure you read the Read First tab before you start! I wandered down the rabbit hole today with this and there's a lot of info. I also used www.freetarot.com as my main reference guide but please feel free to seek other sources.

I only found out about the "Personality Numbers" (total of name's consonants added up) towards the end so I will probably make a Ver 2 of the sheet later down the track.

If anyone has EXPERT excel skillz and knows how I can get the numbers to be added automatically when a letter is typed in (hope that makes sense lol) holla at me. I hate manually adding the corresponding number to letters. It'd be great to just input the letter and have the number pop up automatically under the letter. Same goes for the vowels and consonants.

Alrighty!!! I'm counting this as my good deed and service to humanity for the day and I'm off to crunch baby name possibilities. I wanna cover as many bases as I can and give bub the best possible start in life thus all the number crunching.
