Books rock: The Book With No Pictures

I tend to treat my personal Facebook feed as a bookmark for cool things I find while browsing through my feed (tried that with Steemit and it DID NOT go well) so I can show it to my kids when we cosy up in bed at night. It's usually cute animal videos, inspirational kids stories or TED-ed videos. Once I found a cool video of a children's book reading by the actor B.J.Novak. I showed it to my kids and they found it hilarious. So when we had the Amazon card situation in February one of the books we purchased was that one: Book With No Pictures.

The Book With No Pictures is not your typical children's book. Its appearance and design are simple, It's white and the interest is kept with different fonts and colours of letters. But the main thing that's magical about the book is the level of engagement it requires from the one reading it and that would be the parent, in our case. Reading the book in different tones of voice, pace and accents make it a fun experience. Novak thinks that The Book With No Pictures “could be a whole new way to introduce the children to the idea of what a book can do”.

Even though the book got kind of mixed reviews, both positive and negative, from grown-ups kids give it 10/10. I can't just read it once to them. I have to read it like five times in a row and they crack up every single time. I would recommend this if you are looking for a fun addition to your home library because it will definitely be a book you'll end up coming back to.
