Dear Mama,
It has been so long since I’ve seen your beautiful face,
That Impish smile.
I miss you so.
I miss the twinkle in your eye when one of us made a joke;
Even though you’d scold because of the language,
You thought it funny.

You gave me everything that lead me to
What and where I am today, you stood between me and
Violence,
You kept the calm, even when you didn’t feel so.
~
And in those darkest times when I was not such a
Nice person, you pretended to not see the
Darkness, always hoping, always
Knowing that the Light
Would win out at last.
