Being a Mother

I've never known such a wide range of emotions could exist throughout one day. That these little pieces of my heart could make me so furiously angry, yet so ferociously love them!

Being a mom is something that has completely changed my life. There are times that I have completely enjoyed every moment, and completely loathed it. Sometimes I feel suffocated by their every moment with me, but as soon as they are gone for an hour, I miss them deeply. Sometimes I feel a little crazy with all of these emotions. Yet, I wouldn't change it for the world. I love them so very much. I love being their teacher, chauffeur, chef, doctor, cuddler, encourager, cheerleader, spiritual leader, chore boss, and my most favorite title...momma. I'm still cool to them. I still know more than they do. They love and respect me. Part of that I know is the Father keeping their hearts soft toward Him and His ways. They want to be obedient. And for that, I am blessed. My prayer is that their hearts stay flesh and do not become stone toward the Word of God. That they take to heart the 5th commandment. The one that comes with a promise. Praise God for His blessing of choosing me to be the momma of these little arrows that I will someday have to shoot into the world. May they make their mark for the Lord. May the work that I do now in the home mold and shape them into His servants. Amen.
