I have been a martial artist since I could remember. It's life. The purpose and focus it instilled in me has been valuable. Naturally been known and told ADHD since time immemorial. That sucks mentally. Draining anyone with stronger resolve.
These days however it feels like going stagnant in improving has reared it's ugly head. As you get older and the body no longer repairs itself quickly the pursuit to improving skills takes a beating. You know how your body works. Take it slow.
Slowing down is advisable as the body slows.
They say mind over matter. Never mind. Sayings push you but can you keep pushing when your knee pops ever time you put weight on it? The test of time comes with the test of will.
