DO NOT WAIT FOR A HERO TO SAVE YOU. BE YOUR OWN HERO

We all know or think one way or the other that if a man who runs into a burning house to saves someone’s life that person is regarded as a hero. Yeah.......it maybe true to some extent. According to Mariam-Webster Dictionary, it describes a hero: as person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities. To be at the level of heroism is a good thing. But before you can be a hero you have to understand that there are a lot of risk you have to take.

You can't be someone's hero until you become your own hero first.This is a far more complex task than it might sound at first. It has nothing whatsoever to do with money, power, ego, bragging rights, good looks, physical power, athletic ability, sexual prowess, or how much stuff a man owns.
To become your own hero a man must be willing to live a according to his dream. He must be focused on what is more valuable to him and how it going to help his community and world as a whole. When he accomplished this task, he become his own hero, and everyone else too.
We all know the story in the Bible where Jacob wanted to marry the love of his life after working for 7 years he was told he has marry the elderly one first before he can marrythe love of his life so for him to accomplish what he came for he worked for another 7 years before he got the woman he wants and he lived a happy life till he died. In this story he became his own hero first before everyone else. I dot think most of the men in the generation will do that.

Being your own hero is about rising to the occasion and the best you do to help your community and the world as a whole. Moving toward being a hero in your own life means deciding to live a life with a purpose and very valuable, that will one way or the other set as an example for others and being a leader.

One can follow the following steps to become his own hero:

Improve your integrity. What are some of the qualities that comes in your mind when you see a hero? Now how are you going to create one based on the qualities you admire most?
For me one of the qualities I admire most is integrity. Being a credible hero is about being trustworthy, and having strong moral values.This is about being honest and communicating your feelings and thoughts in the rightful way.

Be more courageous. Courage is very important in being a hero. Being courageous means you are not afraid to take risk. You are not afraid to face difficulties.
Having the bravery and courage to stay strong during the difficult times is very important. Once your face your fear you may realize that it was not so bad or scary after all.
But you have to remember that having courage is not about doing things that may cause harm to your personal well being or that is unhealthy to your life. Put it in your mind that in every thing safety first.

Look on the things that will make you move forward. Avoid negative people and negative thought because heroes do not waste their time on on negative people and the negative thoughts and if they did they would not have enough energy to save people and fight the bad guys. Have the courage to believe in yourself and what ever that you have in mind believe that YOU CAN DO IT

Know your weaknesses. Self-awareness is a valuable component of being a fantastic hero. Being your own hero is about knowing your best side or what you can do best as well as your weakness. Even FLASH was weak to ICE.
Know your personal responsibilities and work towards it. Admit your mistakes and fine solutions and learn from it. Never blame others for a fail project. And learn to apologize when you need to.

Regulate your emotions. Learn to be calm in the face of danger, that is what heroes do. If you find yourself in a situation that upset you just control yourself and walk out from that situation. Observe your thoughts and feelings.

Practice coping resources that work for you.
Some examples include: exercising, talking with a friend, writing in a journal, and meditating.
