I think most of you would agree that Dalai Lama was right on this one – travelling to foreign places, seeing new cultures and meeting new people is incredibly enriching.

Last year I had the opportunity to travel to Tanzania and spend a month living in various Maasai villages. They are some of the most wonderful and welcoming people I have ever met in my life. It was truly an unforgettable and life changing experience.
I am planning on traveling to Haiti this year with my sister, @changenation, and her husband as they adopt one or two children from there. I will be traveling with them to make a documentary of the whole journey. We are really looking forward to that adventure.

Dalai Lama had a sound point in saying such wonderful quote. Travel has very amazing learning for the traveler. One can learn a lot from different places and the cultures of those amazing places.
Last year I visited Skardu valley, Nothern Areas of my country Pakistan. It's in Karakoram mountain range where World's 2nd largest mountain peak K-2 is towering to the sky. This year I will try to visit Swat that is called Switzerland of Asia.

well i also agree and he was right,,, i travled last time some days ago to my parents hometown pak kaghan naran valley and my plan to next year also to my parent home town pak but next travel there to china border with my all family
bcz i was not born in USA there for we have not any travel here reason my family member not here with me ...only me and my husband and my daughter and i am muslim there for i cannot travel alone

In 2017 i didn't travell, but in 2016 i went to Machu Picchu and I really learnt a lot of that travell. In 2018 i would like to go to Europe or Asia if I can.

Went to Sedona, Arizona this year. It was one of the most amazing places I've ever seen.
The landscape was breath-taking, the rocks glowed with life, and the feeling there was almost indescribable. It was happy, as if the land itself had rolled out a welcome mat to greet visitors.

The new place I visited last year was at PT.Perta Arun Gas in my area of Aceh-Indonesia, and this year after graduating college I will vacation to Sabang Island with the best sea in my area, very pleasant and with steemit I can realize my dream that. To your questions: Last year I visited with my son Tropical Island in Germany during spring vacancy, the stay there was perfect. This year I am not sure I visit a new place abroad, but it seems that my children go to Tai Pei with folk ensemble.

Well Tomas, before the start of new year 2017 i made resolutions for the year in which i included this very quote and planned to visit some places with my family, some places with friends and some places alone.
So i visited two spots last year;

During last year, I was blessed to visit Makkah and Madina in Saudi Arabia where I found soul peace. During this year, I'm expecting to travel to Bahrain where I'll explore historical places.
Another thing I want to add here, going to a new place instead of old one has another benefit too. Unlike already visited places, new place keep our attention and we finally get rid of social media like facebook and instagram for atleast some time.

I’ve just started my journey after I got married. Have been exploring all sorts of new places and cities since then. We take a trip every 2-3 months but mine are no so unusual places as of now since it was too much of an unexplored territory for me. But I so enjoy going to new plances. Latest, i’ve been to Old Manali and Ramgarh. Next we are planning for Bhutan, have heard so much about the beauty there. The new places I visited last year were
the Postojna Cave & Bled island & marshes and lakes on the Pohorje (all 3 of them are in my country Slovenia, but it was the last year I visited them for the first time) and the Zoo in Zagreb & the city of Krk on the island of Krk (Croatia).
This year I will maybe travel to Greece, but I am not sure yet. But whatever it is, it will be something new, some place I've never been before. Because I like to explore new places, things, ... :) I will also continue to research my country of Slovenia as well, there is always something new to find.
