It's never too late to become your own master again

Someone (or anything) in front of whom we genuflect is known as a master. Another definition of this term describes it as being someone (or something) that we either worship or fear, and that directs the course of our lives. Even though the only genuine master a human being should have is the God that resides inside them, reality nonetheless looks very different.

When you have a want to do or say something, but you restrain yourself instead, you have just identified one of the "false masters" in your life who makes the decision for you.

There is a fairly lengthy list of things that can be used as false teachers, including the weather, the news, astrology, your physician, your psychologist, your religion, your spouse, your parents, and your children.

One of the most important is financial stability. Realising that the people and things in your life are not there to make decisions for you but rather to advise you is an essential step that should not be overlooked.

The choices you make are completely up to you and no one else is responsible for them.

Are you one of those people who, out of a fear of the repercussions, believe that it is frequently easier to let others decide, since if your option does not turn out to be the best, there will be someone else to blame if it did not turn out to be the best?

If you want to progress, that is to say, if you want to draw closer and closer to God and if you want to be more and more in love, then you need to take responsibility for yourself and allow others to do the same.
