Quote of the Day!- Stay educated.

in motivation •  7 years ago  (edited)

Do you love to read?

Do you read your mails?

The things you do not know, do you seek to know them?

Do you jump at every opportunity to improve yourself?

Do you listen to the news on TV and Radio?

Do you listen to the news from the people around you?

It was once said that to if you want "to keep a secret from a black man, put it in writing". Pretty much over the years, that saying has proved true and still is true today. Many young people especially find it hard to read and hence, have lost the value proposition in the daily endeavors.

So the question is, do you crave to learn at all? Do you pursue knowledge at all cost? What will uyou do and give for some education?

I Feel Blessed!

The Nigerian police have a Phrase they use when they find you at fault and it is “ignorance is no excuse of the law.” Simple. What you do not know is bigger than you.

Always remember that, knowledge is power. Seek knowledge and live knowledgeably to stay ahead of the demeaning curve of poverty and deprivation.

"to keep a secret from a black man, put it in writing".

So true
Thanks for the motivation
Knowledge is power💪

Thanks @ejemai

There's another super quote I love on this topic you raised this morning:

He that can read but doesn't read is no better than he that doesn't know how to read!

Education is key for man to turn his existence into leaving. stop learning, start dying

One flaw I have discovered is that most people identify school with education. The belief that going to school makes educated. But ironically, we have many illiterates with certificates.

Education is a process of increasing knowledge.

Knowledge is power and one can never be bigger or more that what they do not know. Reading is so important. Thank you @ejemai

Even bible says, wisdom is the principal thing and in your getting, get wisdom, above all get understanding, thanks for the reminder.
NB: the bible quotations are in my own explanation o. Cheers!

Awesome!!!
Knowledge is power and this has been my driving force as i am someone who is always tasty for knowledge. I am very inquisitive about things i dont know.
It is only when we hunger for more that we know more. Complacency is now the order of the day among the young ones, God help our generation.
Lovely post @ejemai

Noted..
I feel blessed here
Kudos

I came across a blog that listed the benefits of reading. I thought I would share it with you guys.

10 Benefits Of Reading:

Mental stimulation.
Stress reduction.
Knowledge.
Vocabulary expansion.
Memory improvement.
Stronger analytical thinking skills.
Improved focus and concentration.
Better writing skills.
Tranquility.
Free entertainment.

This truth:

"to keep a secret from a black man, put it in writing".

...thankfully doesn't apply to me. But I won't deny the validity of the saying.

And this poor reading culture, I fear, isn't going to be abated in a long time coming.

@ejemai has come again ooo, with his ogbonga quote of the day ooo. First it was stach, breaking all record by bringing steemit into the ear drum of every nigeria community.
What about his quote oooo? there is always a different when a father give a quote or proverb than when a son give his quote, indeed @ejamai your quotes sounds more mature than any other, meaning that you a father to steemit nigeria community. Keep on doing your good works.

I once heard a story of a Prof, who got stranded on the road, with his faulty car. Lucky for him, a Bike man passed, and offered to send to him a mechanic. The mechanic came, used a small stone to hit the head of the battery, and told him to start the car. The Prof did, and the car started. The Prof asked him what the Bill was, the man said "10,000 naira". Shocked, the Prof asked, what did you do? The man said, "100 naira, for the stone, 9,900 naira for knowing what to hit the stone with". Knowledge is indeed powerful.

Hehe...lol. funny but true. You will pay for what you don't know. It is a law of nature. You may not necessarily pay money but it will cost you. Knowledge is power.

Exactly. Thanks bro. Knowledge is indeed power.

Sage words sir, i learnt something from this post. Thanks for the inspiration mentor #Respect

Word! So true!

We really do need to up our game as per our reading culture! Well said boss...always on point!

100% true....

Knowledge are gain through reading, research and question.

Life is a school not just a journey. It is important for us to take advantage of every means to learn.

In all you do, always ensure that your knowledge is fetching you more than your ignorance is costing you.
