Are You On The Verge Of Given Up? Then Give Up; Who Cares! Even @surpassinggoogle Earned $2.95 After Being Voted By Steemit Stars In The Likes Of @papa-pepper, @infovore, @shaka, @lukestokes, @timcliff, etc Just 11 Months Ago

Hello Steemians... I was going through some blogs today when I discovered something that rekindled my hope yet again. And I felt I should share it with us, because it is motivating; it's inspiring. It makes one to continue to struggle for a breakthrough with deep faith that though there is night today, tomorrow cometh the day! So what's this thing that I am claiming to possess hope rekindling ability?

Well, here lies the masterpiece...

@abit Did The Trailer For The Movie "The Steemit Community"! We Carry On In A Fun Contest Called: "unMEAN sTWEETs"

I stumbled on the above titled post by @surpassinggoogle this morning. What striked me most about this post to the extent of deciding to share it here with us, is its staggering statistics in relation to its poor payout. You know sometimes when one takes a look at some of these veteran Steemians, it is as if their today is always like this, forgetting that they must have toiled day and night to get to the level they are today. New members who just came onboard some few weeks ago would make a post and spend the rest of the day, staring at computer screen to see when their posts hit $20, $50 or even $100+. And if this doesn't happen in a few weeks, they would just give up hope and quit. Well who cares... Who the hell cares whether you stay or leaves?

Altered photo screenshot of @surpassinggoogle post stats

The impressive stats of the post: a wake up call to those who are in a hungry to hit big

Analysis of the article in question gives the following:

  • It is made up of a total of 2192 original words, according to word count application.

  • It has a total view stats of 115; this is the same thing as impression.

  • 16 total comments.

  • An unbelievable 176 votes.

  • A misery $2.95 in payout!

  • Some recognizable steemit stars that curated it include @papa-pepper, @kevinwong, @infovore, @shaka, @lukestokes, @timcliff, etc

To be honest with us; I really couldn't believe that this happened just 11 months ago! That someone could sit down and stressed himself to churn out first class original content, containing as much as 2192 words, only to get $2.95 in payout! This is unbelievable! However, I found it very motivating; it represents more than a thousand reasons to continue to harken unto faith.

Yours truly of @euronation addressing the audience at the just concluded @stach's program in Uyo

Terrible blogging conditions in the past...

This is a clear evidence of the terrible conditions under which these veterans blogged in the past! When there was nothing like bots rendering upvote services, no trails — every single post has to be manually curated, no sister social sites like steemit.chat, discord and the rest of them. It is more of who you see on your feed! When there is no @curie, @utopian-io. nor @sndbox, neither was there SP delegation services. When there was nothing like subcommunities. When price of steem and SBD are less than 20 cents. To earn a dollar, you have to roll up sleeves and work for it! These men still kept hoping, kept writing, kept trying to succeed in the face of thousands of reasons to give up!

New generation Steemians not doing enough to succeed...

Today, we have tens of supporting schemes to ease these hitherto difficulties, yet people still abandon their accounts for lack of no appreciable earnings. And it's not as if they are really working to earn anything. The other day, I was hanging out in one of the communities when I received a private message. The person was actually seeking my counsel on the way forwards. I asked him when he joined the program and he said six months ago. I visited to his blog and found that in the last six months, he was still having less than 700 total posts (i.e. blog post + comments). Apparently, this Steemian joined at the same time as myself, yet despite me not being active for the first two months after I signed up, I had made well over 3000 total posts today, yet this unserious blogger is still at less than 700 but he has the audacity to complain! And that's the problem!

Work to get the upvotes, forget the payout for now!

On several occasions, I had had to tell people why it is important to concentrate more on getting the upvotes than the payout. Look, it doesn't matter what you earn now. Attract the upvotes first, your rewards will definitely come in the future!. Those who are voting you now and it looks as if their votes are negligible, will still grow. Look at the stats of @surpassinggoogle's post given above; 176 votes containing votes from such notable Steemians as @papa-pepper, @shaka, @lukestokes and the rest, yet the post yielded only $2.95. Now, if @surpassinggoogle is to write another post today and have these guys upvote him, what do you then think will become of that post in terms of earnings? I believe such a post won't earn less than $200 today.

And that's the real eye opener. I hope you have been able to learn something today. Thank you.

Don't give up. Success is within reach only if you persevere

Starting out in any endeavor in life is always not easy. And so expecting otherwise is therefore an indirect expression of unreadiness in pursuit of any worthwhile goals. This has been the core definition of my person. So in any endeavor I find myself, I usually stayed back even when everyone has left to see if there would ever be a chance for success. Only when all indicators turn red that I would throw in the towel. I am grateful to God that I didn't give up in the face of initial challenges.

Goodluck to you.

Now if you're a minnow like myself and you're contemplating quitting, this is exactly the post you need. People have struggled and continue to struggle..We gotta take a clue from this. Great post @eurogee

Glad you found it useful. Thanks

The way to the top is never easy.. Many are hungry, eager to get there but never want to pay the price of hardwork. For the first time in my life i was able to measure my work and result on steemit..(I am not blowing my hot air)

In two weeks exactly today I knew what consistency is and saw the result.. Mine was 5sbd.. I appreciated it and kept working to get there. Followership increased to over 80+ and so on.

@eurogee you have well said it... I was also surprise to stumble on a guys blog a month older than I on steemit grumbling about how he is not been upvoted I just smiled.. I had to PM him and let him see the reality..

Before I came accross steemit.(I think a week before) I watched a short footage let say 15minutes.. It about a lady, popular lady blogger called LINDA IKEJI she narrated her story and about how it took her years to achieve the feat... I was like wow.. #750million worth of house aint beans, #70million worth of car aint beans too..But she succeeded... Anyway..

When i joined steemit courtesy of @euronation I applied my heart to wisdom.. To learn the system.. I was optimistic and I must say with all humility I researched and still doing so.. Made some few mistakes from the start but have end at heart. Ikeji always ring my mind each time i am blogging but steemit has made work easy I dont need to grumble but play my part..

I am motivated, I am Inspired, I am positive, I am proud to be your product @eurogee, I am never going to give up.. Finally Thank you for this awesome post and lines of inspiration..

*I am me" @brightfame

In two weeks exactly today I knew what consistency is and saw the result.

I have said in the past I would never go to anyone's post to drop a guide again. So I thank God you're here. I will have to say whatever I wanna say using this opportunity.

Though you're making steady progress but there are still certain areas you need to work on. Particularly on the number of the words you write. I think your articles are really too shortto be called articles. They are more of tweets.

Quite interesting to learn that you like learning. So kindly take note and readjust

@eurogee

I stumbled on this post at a time when I wanted to quit. I stared at my last post for hours and was disappointed nobody up-voted. It is not about the payout for me but the knowledge that someone outside my head liked what I wrote. I realize now that steemit is different from other social media platforms and is willing to wait out the dry times. Great post BTW @eurogee.

You're so correct, succeeding on steemit is totally about perseverance and patience when starting out, I'm amazed by what the "veterans" went through in the early stages and this has gone a long way to show why they really deserve the encomiums and other benefits they're getting now. This teaches me never to forget or underrate the power of hope amidst hardwork. I'm not where I want to be at the moment but posts like this go a long way to make me realize that I can get to where I want to be. @eurogee this is entirely an outstanding piece. Thanks a lot for spending the time to make this possible.

You're most welcome bro. Great to learn you love what I do here

Your illustration and success story here just geared me up. Though is frustrating to earn less than expected after spending hours on a post and you see someone that haven't putting in much effort earn more. But i believe that if our focus is shifted from the earnings and is focused on how to contribute our own quota in order to keep this community growing then we wont be moved when we earn less.

You are one of the pillars that still keep me going here.

You are really a great man @eurogee

Am not gonna give up

I am glad to know you are not gonna give up. Keep pushing

Interesting, this is to show the minnows of yesterday are the whales of today. I believe in pushing oneself. Yes there will come a time where one will get discouraged. This post alone will give one the zeal to push further. Thanks for sharing.

Honestly, who will believe that @surpassinggoogle too went through those hard time minnows normally faced.

The best is yet to come......

Amen!

Thanks their. Your most welcome

There's nothing as rewarding as hardwork, this is enough to motivate all newbies finding it hard to cope in the community.
Very nice post boss.

Sure good. You're most welcome. Thanks

This is truly inspiring..
Some times I make posts from my heart and when the payout isn't good enough I get discouraged..
But why should I be?
On Steemit nobody owes you anything!
Just do your thing..
If you get noticed, fine.
If you don't, that 0.01 you have is free just take it and work harder

By the way it was nice having you at the Steemit Uyo launch, your speech really got me
Stay awesome @eurogee
We love you

Love you guys too. Thanks and do have a nice time.

Nothing comes easy....You have to work for it to earn it......Fact its small now doesn't mean it will not turn big.....NO need to loose hope stead work harder to give others hope cause you won't need it anymore!!

Sure boss. This is a masterpiece of advice

Thanks @eurogee for this words of encouragement, you have always been a source of motivation for me here on this platform

Thanks my friend. Really appreciate

I find this message so encouraging. I love the part about"who cares if you leave or stay". Am not well known here and so if i leave no one will bother. With due respect, am sure if likes of @surpassinggoogle leaves, the system will continue. Why dont i put in my best instead of giving up.I appreciate you boss

Your most welcome, Receptionist of Air-clinic

Well said @eurogee. Look for votes forget the payout for now. I am not perturb by the little rewards, one things i have come to noticed with you guys that get thing right is consistency because consistency enable you to improve the more.

Thank you for motivating us newbies with this one sir @eurogee.:-)

Bros who wants to give up we would keep pushing

Sure man

This is truly a wake up call and an eye opener.i guess I have to give myself a target of 6months from today. It should get better and I'll have results to show for it. Thanks @eurogee for sharing.

You're most welcome

Even when life seems to be rough and tougher, I still believe I staying strong and consistence, in few time things may come from worse to better. Slow and steady always kill and win the race, it is good to be slow and steady always, but better still fast and consistent......

Thanks @eurogee for sharing this with us🙌💪🤘🤛👏

Great having you here. Thanks

Nothing good in life comes easy, infact I was made to kow that the way to success is rough and narrow. So one has to strive to succeed and success is not instant, sometimes it takes years to accomplish. I remember what my wife @sweetestglo-eu once told me when I joined steemit....she said you don't just post, you have to socialize and make friends on steemit. It was not easy at first Because I am not much of a social person but I had to, today I am getting used to it and I am making some significant progress and someday I hope to meet you guys up there. Nice post @eurogee

Bro, it was just like you really see what is going to happen. I still wonder why such post with such ingredients earned that less. However, persistence is what i've learned here, endurance and perseverance.

Good job you did putting up this post.

Thanks @bob-elr for being here. Appreciate this a Lotta

my pleasure boss

You just hit the nail at the head, people feel that success come by chance. I leverage this when said it at Uyo.
#steemsoccer1

Thanks my brother. They had better wake up o

This is one reason @surpassinggoogle is trying to help minnows grow. He has being there and seen it all. More blessing to @eurogee and @surpassinggoogle and the rest who helps and support minnows

You're most welcome

To be honest, I was at the verge of putting Steemit on hold due to school. But these words have rekindled my hope. This is the post for any Steemian that is low in hope. Thanks for the beautiful post @eurogee

Welcome bro. Appreciate your visit

I don't have to worry about my earnings now. Though,my steem since i have started is just 0.01734, and 2.593 sbd, i have nothing to fear of because i know the Rome is not biult in a day. No one makes it in his rushing and hurrying state. It is a duty of every winners to always be focus and keeps encouraging himself. Though,to be frankling speaking,it is discouraging atimes when you keep upvoting to people and yet nothing is return to you but a little drops of water turns to ocean. Thanks boss @eurogee.

Though,to be frankling speaking,it is discouraging atimes when you keep upvoting to people and yet nothing is return to you but a little drops of water turns to ocean.

As much as I would agree with you, I must also remind you that's a major huddle to cross. Thanks

I really needed to read this, Thanks. Truly we are confined only by the walls we build ourselves

Sure. Thanks for being here

Haha
This just simply shows that about 11months ago these steemit God's had less than 500sp.
Mehn.. Am motivated already, time to break my bounds

You're most welcome
