This post is inspired by the movie 'Beyond The Lights'. I have come to realize that some people are under the pressure to succeed either from their parents, friends, rivals or even circumstances. If or when they finally 'succeed', they are not as happy as you'd expect them to be. The people around them tend to not see them for who they are but for what they have come to achieve. This culminates in a deep sated pain that is heart-wrenching.
When you push yourself hard to acheive..who are you doing it for? Yourself? Your parents? To prove a point or what exactly? Success is sweet but there is good success and bad success. You need to love yourself enough to be able to do things because they make you happy and not because you feel you should do them to create some sort of mark. This is why you find a lot of rich but very sad people. You need to be able to strike a balance between doing things that make you happy and doing thing that make others happy. In the end..YOU are all that matters!!
DO NOT be a casualty of your own success!
Lots of Love
I must add that the desire to be successful must first be birthed in an individual... Wonderful postulation, my good friend
