Hello steemians
Though this will be my first post on this community . Motivational talks are either true life stostories or fictions. I will be sharing my personal life experience I hope one or two persons may find a reasonable reason never to stop aiming for that dream.
As a young boy I had a dream of becoming a university lecturer with this vision I knew teaching is my profession so I started admiring good teachers then . At age 7 I was able to read and write and honestly I didn't know I was reading correctly but elders around made me ind that I was reading correctly this many tried proving by bringing different materials to test if truly I could read...
Two years after the drama of testing his reading ability I sustained a trauma to took my left eye. I will come back to this point. What is the whole story about. I grew in a topical Nigerian village where in the 1980's the teachers where only interested in the pupils providing them with our handiwork as we call it then yet I was able to read this was admired by

Back to the trauma it was one Sunday afternoon we just returned from church fellowship my mom sent my elder sisters to get some vegetables in the garden I went with them and while they were busy with the work in garden I was playing with the cuttlass and the next thing I saw was blood all over my face my left eye was gone this happened when I was 9 years of age. I was rushed to the federal medical centre umuahia Abia state Nigeria and the doctors then NEVER treated my case as an emergency before they came the eye was cold and dead. However I am left with only the right eye. This kept me at home for two years my and my plan to finish my primary school education early was now extended my two years.
Finishing my primary school education I demanded to be enrolled into secondary school but my parent said the resource to do that is highly limited by the reason of the number of children in the house.. my parent have us 1 1 eleven and with peasant farming as a means of survival this made me to aim higher to make sure I change the story of the family history. I pushed harder and obtained the secondary education and desired a university degree this delayed for 17 solid years though I made heavy efforts to make my dream a reality but when I have saved enough money to go get the degree that same year the only right eye which is my hope went blind yes blind. I became a blind man in 2012 February all the money I saved was used to save my eye yet it wasn't enough and faith, mercy and God's grace worked for me and in 2013 my sight was restored when medicine and money failed me.
The testimony today is that I will be completing my university degree soon and my love for teaching hasn't reduced. Challenging it has been but determination to succeed has kept me going.I am a happy man . Your encouragement must come from within if your encouragement is external then you will give up. My life has been delayed by over 22 years yet I didn't quit you too can achieve your dreams.
