Showcasing Your Passion...Steem Makes It Easy

Showcasing Your Passion.png

Over the years I've been blogging and doing business online the first questions that pops up from readers usually goes something like this;

How can I find something that I'm passionate about and build a business from it?

I smile because they have the answer right in front of them...

Part of making money from any business is LOVING what you do! ❤️

And your audience can see through the 'fake it until you make it' act so it's critical that you love and I mean LOVE what you do.

I think that's why I'm so in love with the Steem blockchain and everything about it.

And now, time for some transparency...

You see, I've been working for myself for almost 20 years. Mostly online and via my written word (blogging, emails). And I still have an inner voice that tries to talk me out of pressing send on an email broadcast or publish on a blog post..

"Why bother...No one cares what you have to say..." 😥

I'm my worst enemy as are most creatives I'm sure. I'll try to talk myself out of doing anything productive some days because I'm scared I will fail and never get any traction from my audience....But then, something kicks me in the rear end and I remember this simple truth...

Your job is to create! And do it the best you can every day. The people that matter will pay attention, everyone else just hasn't met you yet ;)

Which brings me back to Steem... 😃

  • I love to write, so blogging on Steemit is a no brainer. I get to share my thoughts, my dreams, my goals and my failures for all to see... (Have you been reading my HODL challenges? Urgh what a disaster LOL)

  • I love interacting with people in a live environment, so apps like @dlive are perfect for me. I get to share my experiences there, do a book giveaway every Monday and talk about all I've learned over the past 7 days.

  • I'm addicting to reading! And with @dtube I can vlog about which books I've read and helped me on my journey. What better way for people to see my excitement for a fantastic book I just finished. I hope the books I recommend can help every Steemian out there!

  • I love to share ideas, discuss crypto, Steem, marketing and online business with others that share my passion. That's why I started the Tuesday Noob Night podcast on @dsound

  • And heck, I even play some video games then and again...So I'll stream on @dlive so people can watch the 40-something grown man beat the young'ns.... ;)

And it's all here....On Steem!

You can pick one app or all of them and showcase your passion with the world. Maybe you won't get a whale upvote today, and the only people reading your blog is your family....But stick to it! 👍

Here's the secret about building businesses, brands and relationships online.....

99% of those that try, give up after 3 months. Maybe even sooner...

If you want to create something epic, stay the course. Pick your passion, and use one of these amazing apps on the blockchain to put it out for the world to see. And then keep at it. For a year at least....And then see where you are at!

Dammit, you are a good writer. You should do more of it :) I should've used the lopsided smiley cause I'm only half kidding. You are an obviously good writer and I think writing is THE way.

I do admire your videos and especially the live feeds. I just can't figure out quite how to use either medium for my needs. I'll keep pondering on it and keep writing in the meantime.

Well, I just happen to know that you only have 9 months to that decision day. I'm guessing I know what the answer will be.

Good work, my friend.

Ha ha ha Yeah man, I'm in it to win it now....9 months, 9 years...Who is counting? lol

Thank you sir, appreciate the kind words and comments as always. I'd love to have you on the podcast on Tuesday....Of course, if you are awake ;)

Finding your passion is something that is rarely discussed, Most people are just focused on the dollars, I mean it's the fascinating idea that anyone with a computer and the internet can somehow plug in to a system or plan to earn a good income, however as you mentioned the desire has gone within 3 months in most cases, I am passionate about many things but what I found is there is only so many hours in the day and every passion requires nurturing daily which requires time and energy, So my biggest goal this year is to build networks, outsource and delegate, this way I get to share my passion with others and free up some time for myself, well this is the plan moving forward anyway... Thanks for another value packed post.

Appreciate the comments sir. Yeah there are only 1440 minutes in a day, so we need to use them wisely for sure!

Here's the problem, as I see it, Jon. It's the word: "now". Maybe we should remove it. I want to have 1 million dollars NOW!

Even more, we have the expression "the future is now". So, if my future is to be a whale, why am I not a whale now, just like the expression says (of course, in a different context)?

Taking this to the extreme, what is the future of "the future is now"? Boy, my head is spinning.

I'd better take the step-by-step consistent path, at least it makes sense. Just like your post. Thanks!

Dude you confused me LOL

But I think I follow you. It is present tense if we want to achieve it....Think and grow rich ;)

Just playing with words and imagined a reality in which those who want things now would need to instantly become their future selves to be in the position to have them. Confusion is good, it means something is wrong with that imagined reality. :)

Ha ha ha oh no doubt!

That's what I call some Sunday Gospel !!!! Your flow is always what is astounding to me.

LOL Thank you sir. Appreciate that!
