What does it mean for you to wake up early in the morning? Do you find 9 o'clock's rise is an earlier one? And what about 5 o'clock's rise? So, there are no any right or wrong answers. They are so individual. Some people are early birds and wake up at 5 o'clock, while the others are night owls and start their day at 9.
Basics
I suppose that many of you know about such recommendations, which may help to wake up early:
- to eat light lunch: if we eat a lot at night, the body spends too much energy on digestion and does not rest; to the point, heavy meal reduces the amount of growth hormone by two to three times and as a result, the body is aging
- to stay away from mobile devices in the evening: these devices emit the blue light that makes a bad impact on our brain; moreover blue light prevents our body from releasing melatonin, a chemical in the body that helps us sleep
- go to bad every day at the same time
- etc
They are necessary, but not the sufficient conditions for an early rise. Even if you follow there recommendations, you might not wake up early.
Tips&Tricks
Try to set yourself up and focus on what you love. Try to find one or two hours for yourself in the morning. The thought that several ours in the morning will be yours helps you to set yourself up for an early rise. You may love jogging in the fresh forest, or maybe drinking a cup of hot coffee in the center of the morning city, walking with your dog. Feel the feelings that you will gain by doing your favorite morning routine. But try to
accept the fact that the first 5-10 minutes in the morning will not be easy. You may want to sleep or do not want to get out of bed. But do not look for excuses, you do it for yourself. And imagine how much satisfaction will you get by making that you have planned.
Thanks for this, Julia; I had no idea we were reducing growth hormone production by eating before bedtime. That is one change I will make. I am a night owl by nature who loves the morning. My biggest challenge is to stop working or reading at night! ;(

You are welcome, Christine!
I'm so happy that you have found the new information in my post.
I am also working and reading late in the evening. I use night shift feature on iOS, which makes colors warmer and reduces the bad impact of using mobile devices in the evening. On Windows/macOS/Android you can use F.lux program for the same. And an hour before the bedtime I do not use any devices. At this time I walk, read paper books or plan my day.
Hope that my advice will help you too :)

Yes! Thanks so much for your extra tips! I'm not familiar with the F.lux program, but I will check it out. I did get a new blue light filter in my last set of glasses and that seems to be helping a little.
