Letting our minds trick our bodies.

The most priceless asset aside TIME, which everyone has is the MIND. This is proof that all human beings were created equally. However, there is one thing that throws the whole equality equation out of balance which is the environment one is born into. That again has been proven by a myriad of people to not be a factor when it comes to finding success(wealth).

Howard Schultz, Elon Musk, Napoleon Hill, Andrew Carnegie, just to mention a few, started off from a “not so favorable” environment and yet they have found a way to be role models to a lot of people including myself. To them, it was all about developing their minds.

Not everyone agrees that no matter where you come from, you can still change your future if you put your mind to it. The human body is lazy and always wants to be comfortable. it is has its limits just like vegetables can go bad after days if proper attention is not given to it. But if every time one faces a task so tedious, there is a way to complete it even when your body seems to have given up already. Let the mind convince the body over and over. Have that dialogue between your body and your mind in your head.

It may go like this;

Body; Let us rest a bit
Mind; But we have got just 10 mins move to go. Let us endure. You do the next task and we will take a 60 seconds break and the continue. We have got to finish hard.
Body; Okay, we have finished the first task, let us take that that 60s break.
Mind; You know what, why don’t we just finish this portion altogether before taking that break. It won’t take much time plus it will help us finish the work before the 10 mins leaving us enough time to freshen up.
Body; Okay. Just this last time and we are taken that break.

Let this go on and on and before you realize, you would have completed that 10 mins work in 5 minutes and didn’t have taken the 60s break as well.


This stresses the body and ultimately, as this is done for years, the body has no other option than to adapt to the level of uneasiness you put it through. Remember nothing grows in the comfort zone so by doing this, you become nimble and growth will find you.

That's a pretty cool tip! I bet it works perfectly - I used to do that when I started working out and I couldn't go anymore - just kept telling myself one more one more and it actually worked pretty good! I never thought about using it for other things than working out, but I'll definitely try it :)

The mind is one of our greatest assets. Everything always starts with the mind. If the mind says "GO," then the body has no option but to say "YES SIR"

To some extent I agree with your write up but I believe that our environment can play important role in shaping our destinies. After all man is a product of his environment.
