To have positive thinking, to become positive, to remain positive ... It is very beautiful all that but concretely how one does?
Being positive is actually something that can be learned!
How?:)
I will explain all of this in detail in this Post:)
Of course ... when you are not at the top, you have easier access to negative ideas, lower judgments, complaints, criticisms ... We are not really willing to positive thinking.
But all this can change.
You will not become a "master of the positive" overnight, it would be too easy. There is, on the other hand, a process, a kind of methodology to follow that can enable you to become positive little by little, and to remain so.
Positivity is a bit like a muscle.
If you do not train it, it will logically stay weak. On the contrary, if you train and exercise it regularly, this "muscle will grow stronger" and your ability to be positive and think more positively will increase.

Cut off access to negative thoughts.
My first tip may not be the one you expected, but I think it's the most important: before you can start to be positive, you have to stop feeding your negative mind !!
Stop feeding your mind negatively
What do I mean by "feeding one's spirit of negative? "
We have about 50,000 thoughts a day. Some of them come from inside our head and are therefore difficult to manage ... They require a real inner work, thanks to meditation for example.
On the other hand, a lot of negative thoughts come from the outside environment. And on these, it is very simple to act!
As I explain in the article on anti-stress foods, if one eats badly, one feels bad. Well with the spirit, it is the same principle: if one "nourishes" it badly (with regrets, fear, violence, negative thoughts ...), one feels bad.
Some examples of "negative food" for the mind?
How do you feel when someone around you is constantly criticizing or complaining? Do you feel better or worse?
How do you feel when you read the misfortunes of an unknown on a forum? Their problems? Their symptoms? Do you feel better or worse?
How do you feel after watching the 8pm JT? Do you feel better or worse
How do you feel when 33 times on the same day you hear that there has been a triple murder, a fire, and floods? Better or worse?
Negativity is present all around us.
One of the characteristics of positive people is that they "consume" more positive than negative. And unfortunately, the news is not what we do best in terms of positivity!
So of course I do not say that we all have to live in the bottom of the woods and eat bark :) We can follow the news, follow subjects that interest us, but we do not have to know all The misfortunes of the world, all the time. It really does not help to stay positive.
This plumbs our morale ... because the negative is contagious.
We already have a lot to do with our own negativity and that of our entourage ... So no need to hanicaper even more!
Try to make a "media diet"
For 1 month, stop following the news, and see if you are doing better or worse (but I think you already know the result). Do not follow the news for 1 month, then look again at a news. Attention, I warn you right away, the awareness can be violent. You may feel a flood of negativity invading you ... it's for my part what I feel when I look at a JT again, or when I accidentally come across a flash info on the radio.
Besides, trust me: if there really is something important happening, you will soon hear about it from someone you know.
The Power of Positive Thinking.
" We are what we think. All that we are is the result of our thoughts. With our thoughts, we build our world "
Buddha
Now that the "incoming negative" has been removed, we can begin to gradually increase the incoming positive.
In the beginning, many of us have to force ourselves. One is wrong, one sees nothing positive, and one can hardly see how one could be. People overflowing with positivity would almost disgust us ...
We think we could never be like that ... but it's not true.
You just have to train. And as with every workout, at first you have to force yourself. To motivate oneself, to remain disciplined, and this even (and especially) if one does not yet see the benefits.
Positivity is like planting seeds.
Sow as much as possible (one seed = positive thinking), and you will reap the rewards later. But you will reap only if you water your positivity often and enough;)
5 Exercises To Be More Positive
1 - Becoming aware of its negativity
As I told you, negativity comes either from outside or from ourselves. We must therefore learn to identify it first.
Whenever one finds oneself to be negative, to complain, to make the victim, to be afraid, one can say to oneself:
"Okay, I've just been negative. I know it does not help me at all. On the contrary, I now know that being negative is worsening the situation. How could I do to be more positive there right away? "
2 - Accept your negativity, then try to turn it into positive.
So you've just identified a negative thought. You do not reject it, you accept it, but you immediately take the decision to look for the positive.
The aim is to replace negative thinking with positive thinking.
Example:
You get up and you see it's raining.
There, a negative thought arrives: "Too bad, it's raining, it's still going to be a day of ..."
STOP
You have just become aware of the negativity, and you immediately seek to replace it with positive:
"Okay I was being negative ... the positive thing is what is here? Hum ... the peasants will be happy, their salads will be watered. Or ... it's raining, ok, I feel all the more fortunate to have a roof ... "
You see the principle?
Being negative is not dramatic, as long as you make the effort to try to change that. After a month, you will know when the negativity is likely to point the tip of his nose. You will be able to counter it, and be positive before it even appears.
3 - Positive things at the end of the day:
Here is another exercise that has the same goal: to teach you to see the positive where you have not seen before. At the end of each day, write down on a notebook 5 positive things that happened to you during the day.
If you are unable to do so, continue with the exercise. Force yourself.
It is time spent doing the research that counts. Even if you do not find anything, keep going. For today you may find only one thing positive, but the more you do this exercise, the more you will find it.
For the positive is all around us, we just can not see it.
4 - Identify what is positive throughout the day
If you want to progress even faster, you can do this exercise throughout the day. Whenever you identify positive, note it. And every time you take yourself in the act of negativity, write it down, and try to replace the negative right away with something positive.
5 - Feeding Positive Thoughts
Positivity is a virtuous circle.
The more positive you are ... the more positive you are. The more you learn to see the positive, the more you see. The more you nourish your positive spirit, the more this same positivity reappears in your thoughts.
A tip: always keep a source of positive at hand: a book, a collection of quotations, a poem :)
Positivity is something I struggle with on a daily basis. It's especially hard on a rainy Monday morning like this.
Negative thoughts and negativity are absolutely contagious as you've stated. I quit reading the news years ago because all it did was make me angry and depressed about the state of the world. I feel like I have enough things in my own life that drag me into the negative thinking feedback loop.
Training my mind to be positive is something I've worked at for a long time but haven't made much progress on. But at least I'm admitting to my negative outlook which is one of the first steps in changing it.
