I'd like to share with you a very cool exercise that is doing wonders for me.

It's called The Regret Exercise.

It's designed to make you use your past mistakes to take better, more powerful action today.

Here's how to do it.

Sit down with a pen and a paper, and start writing all the things you regret that happened in the past.

Start listing the events or things that you wish you had done differently.

For me, for example, the list included:

  • Being angry at what my parents said to me
  • Spending time with negative friends
  • Worrying all the time about small things

When you have written at least 10 things, create new rules for yourself, based on what you just wrote.

For example:

  • I decide to never be angry at what my parents may say.
  • I'll only spend time with positive people.
  • I refuse to worry for little things.

It's a very powerful exercise, because it forces you to reflect on your past and use the pain of regrets to take new actions in the future.

Go back often to your new list of rules to embed them in your brain.

We can't change the past, but we can create a new future.

Have an amazing day!
