Patience is a virtue

I have been known to be the guy that was good at waiting for things to happen. There are two sides of this however.

When I was young being patient did not mean much to me but I was waiting for things all the time, my first Playstation Console, Travelling overseas, hanging with friends. Anything that had fun written over it. At the time however I was always the type that waited for things because I was lazy to work for anything. I would rather just sit around and beg for things to come to me instead. eventually I would get what I want but in terms of me as a character, as a whole, I was never interested in putting effort. That was a spoilt attitude on my behalf which was mixed with some arrogance and you have the famous "shit talkers". Getting humiliated and not being able to find an excuse to back my story was possibly the only way that made me learn not to be lazy and talk a big game.

I did however, see the value of two important features. One was the ability to wait for things to happen, becoming more and more patient and knowing that eventually something will happen, and second, was the ability to build up my self confidence. For now I will speak about my ability to be patient. I turned that bad habit of waiting for something to happen with no effort on my behalf, to actually applying myself in whatever I was working on and using that skill which I am good at to wait for progress to happen, especially while I was struggling. The reward and outcome of this becomes much more valuable and memorable.
