No matter in what part of the world we live in, our race, our religion, our beliefs, our location, we all have one thing in common. That is the number 86,400.
I once read a short article that changed my perception on life. It went something like this. "Imagine each day you woke up with $86,400 in your bank account that you could spend, but by the end of the day the money will disappear. However, another $86,400 will be credited again the following day to your account. It then asked, would you spend every single dollar you could each day before the money disappeared?" I quickly answered OF COURSE I WOULD!!! I mean who wouldn't right?
The article then went on to state that the significance of the number 86,400 was actually the amount of seconds we each have each day. You see everyone here is credited with 86,400 seconds each day. I believe what separates the people who succeed and the people who don't is the USE of their time. Successful people will always find time to do the tasks that are important to their growth and their success whereas the people who aren't motivated will use the poor excuse that "I don't have the time". The truth is, we all have the same amount of time each day, the successful people just use their time more wisely! .
I used to be the " I'll do it tomorrow" guy. Since reading that article many years ago, I have tried to allocate my TIME the best I can, I avoid wasting this precious commodity on brainless activities such as watching TV or anything that does not help me reach my goals or make me grow as a person. Using my time wiser has helped me reach all my goals so far and has made me realise how much you can get done in a single day by applying yourself wisely.
What we need to realise is that TIME is the single greatest commodity of mankind. When someone allocates time to see you, help you, or speak to you, they are devoting time that they will never be able to get back. It is the most precious gift one can give to another.
How you use your time is critical, what you do with your 86,400 seconds per day will determine what your tomorrow will look like as each second that passes contains countless options, possibilities and decisions which we can choose.
How are you going to use your 86,400?
