Steemit Makes the 4 Hour Workweek More of a Reality

Before Steemit it was a lot harder to get paid for writing great content. You often had to set up a Wordpress blog put ads on it just to get paid pennies for writing great content. Unless you had a following of a several thousand people making serious earnings from a blog seemed very difficult, and a following like that would often take years of persistence to gain unless you already had some fame.

Lack of earnings from their high quality posts used to make writers frustrated

Tim Ferriss's book The 4 Hour Workweek details ways that one can increase their productivity output and only have to work a minimal amount per week to become successful.

Although it is still difficult to make a fortune on Steemit, it has become a lot more feasible to earn the amount of money one deserves for writing great content than it was in the past.

Creating a following on Steemit through writing quality content is definitely a way to make great passive income, and definitely could pay for groceries and many other things in life. Combined with creating e-books, and various other techniques one could definitely escape the 9-5 workweek.

I read The Four-Hour Workweek back in 2008. It's a good book! Really inspiring. That was the year I started freelance writing from home full-time....I'd been doing it part-time since 2002. I'm still my own boss as a freelance writer, but I have yet to achieve the four-hour workweek. It's more like a 72-hour workweek. :) But, it is still way better than working for anyone else.

I'm still looking for ways to cut down on the amount of time I spend writing online, and to increase my income at the same time. SteemIt seems like a great place to write and read good quality content, but I've seen some of the worst writing here, too.
As the site matures, I hope that the good stuff is encouraged, while the trash is-well, taken to the curb--if you know what I mean.
