Every thinker knows that ideas are the beginning of all successful  achievements. The question most often ask, however, is, "How can I create ideas that will earn money?"..... Napoleon Hill 

Everyone wants to be successful, but not everyone knows what to do to attain success. It is true that success is a relative term, so you don't need to measure up your work or achievements with another person before you get fulfilled. When you have a dream you want to realize, you should set out a plan on how you want to go about it; i.e, have a road-map. You should have goals you would meet at a set time, when each goal is achieved, you attain fragments of victory until the dream is actualized, then you have been successful.

Basically, most of our dreams need funds before they can be actualized and more often, those funds are not readily available. In such cases, what do you do? Sit back and wait for funds, go begging or borrowing? Well, none of these options is a bad idea if it can get you what you want, but there is a lot more dignified and better way to raise your startup capital. It is called Creative Thinking.

The power of creative thinking cannot be overemphasized. It will help you achieve most of what you want in a shorter time frame and with lesser stress. What if what you want demands a huge amount of money and you don't have  it? All I'll tell you is, relax and think smart. It is a good thing to learn from people who started from zero, yet they attained remarkable heights. This takes us to Mr Biggs... Who is he? 

Mr Bigs was the most popular Nigerian food and confectioneries chain store as at the late 90's to mid-2000's. A study of how it was started with very little, then rose to fame is an interesting one. The owner of Mr Biggs was a poor man who had big dreams. He knew what he wanted, but there was no money, so he started with what he had. 

Think deep. Do you have time, freedom, energy, beauty, a little cash, or just anything? What do you have right now?

He had the strength and a few cash, so started preparing his food and confectioneries in a very small quantity and would wheel it around town in a show glass. Little by little he began making profits, was able to build his first store, then  created a brand . Mr Biggs became very popular and could be found in every major city in Nigeria. 

Start with what you have

Did you learn anything from this? For his dream to be actualized, he needed at least $200,000 dollars for a start, but he creatively thought about a way to start with something below $500.  Also, notice that he did not start anything new, he only repacked an old idea. 

Have you noticed anything with high demands in your city? You could repackage it, make unique and attractive ; who knows? It might turn out to be your own gold mine.

Another way to get funds for your idea is to have a good business plan. When you come up with an interesting idea and a good business plan, getting investors becomes easier. 

I hope you now understand that the problem is not money. It is not even having good ideas alone. It is the ability to know how to start with what you have.
