Have you ever been told? "Cats are better than Dogs or Dogs are better than Cats" but never you are given an explanation? and when you ask why, you are told "they're just better at this or that" I asked one a cat lover "why do you like cats better than dogs?" and his opinion was "they are just better". I replied "better at what?", he said "at everything"; and I replied "can you mention one thing they are better than other pets?" he replied "well, they don't bark!" "Oh" I replied, "so barking has to be nuisance for you?" "Yes" he replied excitedly. "What if the cat barked instead of purring" I replied; "would that be a reason to let go of your cat and exchange it for another type of pet?" "absolutely not!" he answered. "So then, the fact that the cat does not bark is not exactly an reason why you prefer to have a cat over other pets"; he then replied "You are correct! I don't believe I can think of a logical reason that I prefer cats over other pets such as dogs or rabbits for example" He continued "I just leaved around cats all my life since I was a kid, I remember my dad when he first brought over little Rosie home, she was cute and purred over my ear!, I loved her since!" "I understand now!" I replied. "you love cats because of the precious memories they bring back in time that give you a hearty warm feeling!" "There is absolutely nothing that can change your mind to replace your cats because they are part of your life." Whether you are a cat lover or a dog lover or another great pets, most people tend to stick to what they grew up with or been around to. The same is with friends because what you see in them you may see in your self or would like to see in yourself. we are what we think of us. We value what gives us a reason to live, to keep going, to be happy. What keeps you going? what keeps you motivated? What keeps you reading this article? you are looking for answers or just curious. When you are feeling not the greatest, think about the best day you had; whether it was recently or during your childhood. Then, do something odd while you keep that thought; for example: "I rubbed my right earlobe while I remember fishing with my dad on the small lagoon, while eating ripped peaches" now a days I rubbed my right earlobe and remember that great memory!. this method is called an anchor. try it, it will give you energy and relief stress. Now you may think - "why did he switch from a cat story to a personal story?" Believe it or not having a pet helps relief stress, but not all of us can have one, have access to, or want one. You are the best at what you want to be, when you want to be.
