always wanted to
Listen to the song below while reading for a more chilled out impact if you're using a computer or laptop.
I decided that today I’m going to write a post that’s just different to shake things up.
What country have you always wanted to visit? I’m sure there is at least one in your mind right now that speaks to you. I know I’ve always wanted to go to Japan and I’ll give you three reasons why In this post although if you know me by now I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to guess what they are lol.
Anime - it is so very inspiring to watch a cartoon where the hero has more losses than victories. A perfect example of this would be Hunter x Hunter. An anime where the main character is pursuing a goal bigger than himself spurred on only by his self-confidence. It’s like real life to me when people are trying to chase their dreams especially a big, creative, risk-taking one. Most people that I know don’t go after big dreams but instead settle for security and stability in a 9-5 job or maybe they have a talent but they lack confidence in their ability to see their own worth or maybe that their talent is of value to other people. In anime, most of the time you see the main character go for their goals and never give up in spite of the trials and tribulations they face. Some of the shows even have characters learn from their mistakes and apply what they've learned to their strategy for the next battle. Life is a series of battles we will always be tested all the time. And think about it the people that make these anime’s are grown men and women like you and me but they were persistent and never backed down in thought or action. That should be enough to inspire you to go after what you want in life.
Videogames - I love video games and in particular Nintendo games. One of the best series to me is Super Mario and Legend of Zelda. The incredible innovation displayed in these games is absolutely astonishing. Especially in the new legend of Zelda Game. Which has been called one of the toughest Zelda games ever created, similar to anime video games invoke a feeling of strength. Sometimes challenges can be extremely difficult and you have to rely on your wits, strength, tenacity, and luck to pull you through. You are made to feel like a hero and this is what life is all about. Going through extremely tough situations that make you stronger depending on your perspective and your ability to overcome obstacles. Remember the people who make these video games are adults too just like with anime.
Language - Japanese is considered a tough language to learn. With the subject, verb, object being completely different from English. Hiragana and Katakana and the thousands Kanji you have to learn in order to be literate. It is a daunting task for an English speaker but one worth pursuing. I personally think that Japanese is one of the coolest languages out there to listen to. Also the music, man I love Japanese music mainly from anime it just puts a smile on my face.
All of these reasons have one thing in common, they all require an extreme amount of willpower against rigorous circumstances. And if you're like me and believe in achieving a big, creative dream you will face many challenges in life but in spite of those challenges you must pull yourself together and keep going strong. It is far better to live a life that you can look back on with personal pride rather than with depressing discontent. Which country have you always wanted to visit and why?
