Invest in NOW!

With all the rush of our modern society it has come to my attention that the average person nowadays suffers from an extensive amounts of anxiety and depression, so to say. Although everyone has their own different path in life and therefore different reasons to manifest these feelings into their psychology, one thing can be said certain for everyone...
In his book "The power of Now", author Eckhart Tolle simplifies the origin of these two crucial for the modern day person emotional states- Depression comes from investing our attention in the past and Anxiety comes from investing it in the uncertainty of the future.
In his words: "Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life. " How does this benefit Us as readers, workers, everyday people? The answer lies in the concept of understanding the current moment and what it can bring You- although the past may carry pain and sorrow to many of Us, it also did at least one thing right- it brought us to this very moment in time, where we sit in a somewhat comfort zone, reading post on Steemit and developing for ourselves a secondary stream of income.
This alone has the beauty of the statement that everyone can say to themselves and smile- "I am here, alive, survived the storms and I am working for a better future for myself!" And this is in fact the point of This Moment, of Now- to take a deep breath, Focus on what you currently have, without overthinking about the past or future and just develop what you have in your current "toolbox".
Take your time, breathe in the moment and assess your opportunities with a smile, for everything the future holds is surely one huge possible benefit. But everything starts from Now!
