One of the best ways to inspire your followers or employees as a leader is to appreciate them, thereby spuring them to do more.
Appreciation is like a fuel. It drives a person towards achieving more.
There are many ways to appreciate a person.
It does not have to be financially or materially related.
It could just be a verbal communication, a nod of acceptance, a clap of acknowledgement or pat in the back of affirmation. Just something to let the people know they are useful, appreciated, loved and welcome on the team.
This will do a lot in driving the people to do more.
You don't drive people to do more by enforcing or compelling them to do a thing but by appreciating them for the one they've done.
Appreciate their abilities, their intellect, their results generated. Let them know how much their accomplishments mean to the team.
Give them a sense of belonging and you'll see them pushing to give their best, their all.
