Sometimes we mature with years, sometimes with disappointments and downfalls.
To mature is to be content with imperfection.

To mature is to be joyful despite flaws. Growing with learning, evolving with life, and finding our rhythms. Climbing mountains and facing your past. Fighting this discontent strengthens you, bringing learning, change, and fulfilment.

Over time, we realise that self-love is the strongest. Loving yourself means having a crutch to get up from falls and reduce fracture pain.

With age and injury, emotional maturity rises. We mature a lot with difficulty and hardship, which is strange.

Pablo Fernández-Berrocal and Natalio Extremera explain in La inteligencia emocional y el estudio de la felicidad:

Happiness comes from having many positive experiences and few negative ones and being satisfied with life. According to well-being experts, happiness is a self-reported condition that cannot be measured objectively.

In a world with manuals for nearly everything, we lack a "Manual of life to mature" and grow. Instead, we receive messages about what we have and what we need to attain.

Even with a "Life's Manual for Maturity," there is no secret formula for maturity. There is no algorithm to predict how a person should grow, therefore everyone has their unique rhythm and climax.

Anothony de Mello nicely states, “Maturity is what I reach when I no longer need to judge or blame anyone for what happens to me.”

Often, our emotional trip makes us question the quality of our path. What symptoms imply emotional growth?

Emotionally developed people know freedom is preferable. They let go of what no longer belongs to them since staring at the past inhibits us from closing steps and healing emotional wounds.

Let life take you, mature, and heal emotional suffering.
After learning from our grief, we are no longer frightened to dig within to heal our emotional history and move forward.

Learn to talk about your thoughts and feelings.
Not turning inside lets the negativity govern our existence and not escape our history. This limits positives and harms.

Mature people are clear-headed, while immature people are lazy and chaotic. Mental maturity aids daily problem-solving.

Mature folks know we adjust or accept, not whine.

Caring for others without burdening yourself is maturing.
Mature people can control their emotions and those sent to them.

You mature by not punishing yourself for mistakes.
Mistakes are the finest approach to learn because they reveal our mistakes. This is why mature people concentrate on their limits to better them rather than punishing themselves.

Openness to emotions
We realise that shells merely slow life as we advance. Barriers may be useful, but they must be removed in time.
