Do you think every illness and disease communicates with you? The message from your inner spiritual guidance manifested via your body is valuable. When you ignore your soul's life plan to teach you self-love, he demands your attention. All pain and illness—physical or mental—indicate a lack of self-love.

Messages focus on who you are, not what you do. People tell me their leg pain is from standing all day. If this were the cause, everyone who stands all day should have aching legs.

Malaise or disease is an alarm signal (like a car's red light) to alert you to a belief or way of thinking that hinders you from BEing your best. Using the example above, question yourself to find a belief:

  1. This leg pain interferes with what in your life?

It keeps me from enjoying my work, long walks, sports, and life in general.

  1. Lacking and being unable to achieve what you say keeps you from BEING?

It hinders my happiness and freedom most.

  1. What could go wrong if you were happy and free at work and in motion?

Work would provide me extra tasks. More physical exercise would mean more time away from home, something my family wouldn't welcome.

  1. What would you be judged for if what you said was true?

Others and I would call me selfish if I declined extra work and spent more time on my hobbies.

Leg pain does not indicate a career change to reduce standing time. The real message is that she thinks being happy and free entails being selfish. Lack of self-love prevents her from being her true self. Her answers to the first two questions reveal her soul's happiness needs.

The worst part is that when you don't love yourself, you set expectations on others. For instance, you want them to recognise your sacrifices for them when you choose to follow your convictions.

No one can love you like you. You alone have this power. Living in society helps you know yourself because people mirror your affection. Loving and accepting yourself makes people accept you.

It's crucial not to overestimate our acceptance and self-love. Many think they love themselves because they do what they like. However, if they experience any remorse, it is because they are not accepted for their actions.

Self-love is seeing oneself without judgement and letting yourself be. To get there, you must first allow yourself to be what you don't want to be without judgement or accusation.

Return to our example. If the person spent all their time on hobbies and their family grumbled, they would think they don't like themselves. She believes her ego that she is selfish even though she acts on her needs. She must accept being selfish and take time for herself to be joyful and free.

Your reaction when someone doesn't behave as you desire is the best method to discover if you can accept yourself. Is she acceptable without judgement or accusation?
