Friendship betrayed

Hello friends, have you thought about how are actions effect others especially the ones we love ? We forget how powerful words can be , they can build one up and tear one down so easily. Has a friend ever said something to you that cut you so deep that you feel it to this day ?
Most of us have had that happen, I know I did, some years ago, my best friend said , "you were loyal" during a conversation,
now that sounds good right ? But in the past tense as if I was a dog, and that same friend proved to be not the person I thought
she was. What I learned is that this friend was one that as long as yo were able to help them they used you, when that stopped the friendship stopped as well. The sad part is sometimes we can be blinded by our caring for some people, that we overlook what they really are. To put this in a nutshell I learned a valuable lesson, and it is to guard your heart until you are very certain
about a friend or potential spouse.
The closer people are to us give them the power to hurt us the most. However, don't let your heart be hardened as there are many fine people out there, just be careful.
