When I go through moments of feeling down and out, it's very hard to remember motivational tidbits.
You try hard to remember the good feelings and, as you get older, you know it is just part of life's loop de loop.
Terry Cruze talks about some items here that may be useful.
Discipline = Training. It is not punishment.
Self Discipline = Don't hinge your motivation on another person.
Temptation. If you are trying to change your behaviour then identify the trigger points. If you want to lose weight, then don't buy your coffee at a donut shop.
Be aware of H.A.L.T, and,halt, if one of these conditions is met.
Hungry
Angry
Lonely
Tired
By doing so, you can mitigate potentially negative situations.
We are fallable human beings, so be aware of the self, to become the better self.
Anguished souls are no fun. Like an internal prison.
