Becoming a Positive Force in your World - Esteem Exclusive

in motivational •  6 years ago

Almost on a daily basis, I meet folks with very serious problems and I've got to help and support them, of'couse I can't just leave them alone with their heart breaking challenges, while feeling terribly bad or even terrified. So I listen and counsel as much as I can to ensure that each personalities thoughts are realigned in the positive direction.

Problems, challenges and limitations are synonymous to all of us. Which means, we really can't escape them. In the real sense, it would be wise to watch out for them because they always show up in different dimensions. So what's important here is not focusing on the obstacles rather it's our thoughts about the restrictions we face. How do we fashion our thoughts to handle problems dynamically and effectively?

We need to be positive about everything that comes our way. Looking at the bright side will naturally help us get a clearer picture of where we want to be. At this point, our proactive positivity becomes our guide to the next level. Forward is always the way to go, never looking back.

Can you give an example of a real-life situation someone was facing and how you coached them to reframe their thinking on the situation into something positive? (No need for real names or anything that would give away their identities, of course.) Examples are a great help in bridging the gap between a good idea and the details of real life.

Just yesterday, a young lady was saddened and heart broken because the guy she loved didn't wan't to be with her. The situation made her confused and vulnerable. I had to encourage her take charge of her life, move on and make progress. Such situations should make us stronger, not weaker. The we will make it work for good. Thanks for asking.

Not at all, @starkemmy - thanks for the reply! I don't know about you, but I'm a proponent of people taking a lifelong journey of self-discovery, because I find that even just believing that you were put here for a reason - even if you haven't found that reason yet - makes it easier to cultivate positivity in the face of adversity.
