BEAT YOURSELF! BUT NOT DOWN.

There was this project that I was recently working on, I got stuck along the line with a couple of challenges - serious ones in the best description of seriousness. I tried to fix it myself, but it didn't work... I should have called the attention of other experts earlier though.

Well, I feel, as ambitious people, we tend to want to fix everything by ourselves. We want to be able to accomplish great things by ourselves and lodge all the glory into our pockets. But when we fall short, we start blaming ourselves.

How many times have you ever felt that you're your own worst enemy? This happens from time to time to almost everyone.

Blaming yourself for your sticking points or shortcoming with your dreams? You feel that you know what you should be doing, but you either don't do it or fail when trying.

It's tough a feeling. It certainly happened to me, too.

But the truth is, we have to be kind to ourselves. We have to forgive ourselves for the times when it's not working. We have to forgive ourselves when we do or say the wrong things.

We're definitely human. And elements of imperfection constitute the premise of the human nature.

Next time you feel like blaming yourself for your shortcoming with your calling and life, think about children. They never feel bad for failing or struggling. They just smile and try again. Because truth is, just like with children, if we learn and try enough as many times as it takes, we will always eventually succeed!

So I say, BEAT YOURSELF! BUT NOT DOWN.
Stay motivated!

I just woke and this is among the first things am reading this morning. I feel empowered and motivated. Especially because i was beating my self up yesterday for failing to complete the goals i had set up for my self this month, nothing i planned for worked out..

Thanks lady, its time to get up, dust off and make moves. Today is a new day to be awesome,

Thanks for a great read.

Thanks too @purpletanzanite. I am happy the piece was helpful.

Are you from Tanzania?

yes i am Tanzanian. what about you?

Glad to know. I have plans of visiting that part of Africa soon. I am of Nigerian nationality, but I am based in South Africa.

Wow powerful stuff! I love the quote about children not beating themselves up when they fail. So true! We need to be more like we where as children, namely free spirited and beings of unconditional love.

Exactly, children are wonderful beings. If we can borrow a leaf from childhood dispositions and nature of heart, we would go a long way and the world will be a better place to habit. I appreciate your reaction.

An important message and reminder, indeed! It's so easy for people to get caught up in negative self-talk when something is not going well... but you're so right, children (and cats!) don't care that sometimes things don't work as well as planned. And even when there's failure... you just wipe the tears, then pick yourself up and have another go!

=^..^=

Thanks for your reaction. Stalking ones mind with the regrets of a bad past will only deter one from catching the prospects that abound in the future.
