It's super early here but i can't sleep for some reason so what better way to pass the time but to jump on steemit and do some posting :)

The French Motorcycle Federation certainly surprised me with their team selection for the 2018 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations at RedBud. The French team will consist of team captain Gautier Paulin, Romain Febvre, and Dylan Ferrandis. Yes that's right NO Musquin!

This is a very strange move by the French Motorcycle Federation and i think there is more to this than meets the eye. Musquin has not raced for the French MXoN team since 2015 which, considering his success over the last few years does not sit well. Also there is the small fact that he won the overall this year at RedBud... Yes he WON. Why would you not what that guy on the team? Musquin also voiced his desire to be part of the team in his post race interview from Redbud..

"Yes, especially this year in the U.S. That would be nice. RedBud is definitely the place where you want to have Motocross of Nations. We’ll see. You can also ask Dylan Ferrandis right there for the 250."

So as Musquin sits second in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series team captain Gautier Paulin currently sits in sixth in the MXGP Class of the FIM Motocross World Championship. He has however been a part of the French MXoN team since 2009.
