This is the part i really hate, with any sport you get highs and you get lows and they are all part of the big picture but that does not make reporting any of bad sides any easier.

Christian Craig once again shot out the gate in the first moto at Glen Helen, something he has been doing a lot lately, and was riding strong and leading the pack. He unfortunately went down hard and managed to limp off the track. Although good that he managed to get out of harms way by himself you could see that he was limping. He did not return to the race after that but he has announced via social media how severe the injury was.

"As most of you know I crashed while leading the first moto yesterday. When I got up and tried to walk I felt a pop in my knee and knew right away what that meant. It was so hard to sit there and know my season was over. It was confirmed today after an MRI and visit to @OCSportsDoc that I tore my ACL and will need surgery. I can sit here and ask why me but instead I'm going to take this time off the bike to get better mentally and come back stronger and ready to fight for a championship. Thank you to everyone that has reached out and checked on me. Also huge thanks to the whole @Honda_Powersports_US team for the opportunity this year."

This is another massive blow for the Factory Honda HRC team who have only recently got back Ken Roczen after a multiple injuries. Craig was also drafted in from their 250 squad to replace the injured Cole Seeley so they are now back to one rider again in the 450 Class. Honda have not announced if they will be searching for a replacement but as the season is still very early i would expect the scouts to be running every option to get it filled.
