Yamaha Rider Movistar, Maverick Vinales managed to secure Aragon MotoGP pole position, while Valentino Rossi will start from the third grid in the main race Sunday (24/9) after his old rival, Jorge Lorenzo, successfully stole the second position.
Valentino Rossi, who suffered a broken bone 23 days ago, was able to appear impressive during Q2 with memuncaki time of 1 minute 47,815 seconds, shortly after the defending champion, Marc Marquez fell in Bend 12.
Luckily Repsol Honda rider was not injured from the incident. Previously, he led with a time of 1 minute 47,963, but eventually managed overtaken by The Doctor, and must be satisfied start from fifth position.
However, Maverick Vinales who actually managed to achieve pole position with a record time of 1 minute 47.635 seconds and appears to be a one-two start for Yamaha until in the end Jorge Lorenzo successfully overtake Rossi to lock the second position.
