Yamaha MotoGP Rider Movistar, Maverick Vinales has never been shy about expressing his frustration at the fall of the YZR-M1's performance for the past 1.5 seasons. Even so, the brilliant results for the last four series have begun to heal the 23-year 'rider' wound. Had a victory famine since Le Mans, France last year, Vinales began to kick off with a third place finish in Thailand, and continued victory at Phillip Island, Australia.

Towards the final series at Valencia this weekend, he was optimistic. To Marca, Vinales stated that 2018 was a year full of lessons, where he had to be patient in explaining his input to Yamaha, and be more careful in choosing new devices throughout the pre-season period. "I hope to be smarter next year, especially when working with Yamaha. I will try to direct them to follow my feelings. I also have to be smart in making decisions about machines, chassis or whatever we have to try," he said. "I have said many times that our chassis is great, achieving good results (at the end of the season) is very important even though our engine is bad.

So we think Yamaha doesn't need to think too much about the chassis because I like it more, and more importantly focus on new engines , "continued the 2013 Moto3 world champion. Vinales was sure he could become a world champion with Yamaha, as long as the Tala Fork manufacturer wanted to be more observant to hear the suggestions in assembling the YZR-M1 that matched his racing style. "I see myself able to win with Yamaha.

This is my dream since arriving at the Grand Prix in 2011. I have a target of becoming the MotoGP world champion and I will try my best to make it happen. That is my only target," Vinales said. "When things are going well at Yamaha, we can do great things and I hope we maintain a good level throughout the year. Titles are hard to achieve, but I believe in myself and believe Yamaha can assemble a very competitive motorbike," the lid.
