After the article about my first ever motorbike, Zongshen 125-30, it's time to say a word or two about my current bike: HYOSUNG GT250.
I've been riding it for a year now, and it is 2009 model. I have bought it from the first owner who never actually used it, and I have to say that it was a great buy. With investing not so much money in a used bike I got a great bike. Besides regular maintenance activities like changing oil and lubricating driving chain, I had no other needs or worries. With his 21 kW engine, it has decent acceleration and a top speed of around 140 km/h, which is about 87 mph.
Some of the benefits of having this model are low fuel consumption (around 4 liters per 100km, or 1.05 gallons per 62 miles). Additionally, a tank with a capacity of 17 liters ( 4.5 gallons) gives you a great range of 300-350 km (186-220miles) per tank. Fuel injection system works fine, at least I don't have problems with it, I am mentioning it because I have seen that most of the comments bring up injection system flaws. The driving experience is fine, cycling is nice, there is no corner you cannot overcome.
Looking from a nowadays perspective I am glad that I had a chance to try this Korean bike (originated from Suzuki motorcycles). I love to try out those brands which don't have the great history behind them, which have to create their own, and when a final product is that good, I am glad to be a part of it.
