Is there such a thing as a best motorcycle? My own experience it to get a bike that fits YOU.
Sit on a wide variety of bikes - sport, cruisers and highway bikes and get a feel for posture, weight, seat positioning, and leg reach to the ground and to the pegs, and arm reach to the grips.
You can reposition the seat and steering wheel in a car, but everything is fixed on a bike.
It's sort of like buying a pair of pants and jacket. If you get clothes that don't fit you you'll never really enjoy wearing them. Your favorite clothes are probably the ones that fit you perfectly.
If you get a bike that fits you - regardless of anyone else's opinions about it - you'll be happy with it for years to come.
