A smart helmet, known as the HELLI, created by Waqas Khalil, Ali Syed, Awais Azhar, and Syed Abdullah at Let’s Innovate, a startup in Pakistan, is the next generation of riding gear. If a rider falls off the bike, the helmet can automatically notify emergency services nearby using its GPS and send a text message to your next of kin through our cell phone via Bluetooth, but it doesn't stop there.
It comes equipped with Bluetooth, speakers, a heart rate sensor (which measures the heartbeat from the head via a blood oxygen sensor), integrated wireless brake and turn signals, and a dashcam on the front of the helmet. A custom app lets you add hands free navigation so you never have to take your eyes off the road. It’s also designed to withstand Pakistan’s monsoon rains.
