Chronicles of Alan: Motorcycle Days 6

.

I bought My Brother Mike's Kawasaki Z900 off him ,

when I first got it was reluctant to go much over 6000 Rpm .

Changed Oil , Spark Plugs , and found the Air Cleaner to be full of Dirt , Sorted all out and Bike started performing as it should, not a Great Handler .

Gusseted the Frame , Went to a mix of 50% 20W-40 Motor oil & 50% ATF for the Forks , which stiffened the front up a bit. Put Mulholland Rear Shocks on , a lot Better but found the Front Fork angle was wrong ( insufficient Rake , Factory design fault).)\

So when you really tried to lay it down , it would try to come up ,

countered this by when laying it down hold the steering stiff slightly counter steered. Any of you Ladies reading this , can obviously explain how this works to the Men you know!

On a Bumpy Bend , I would just about lift myself up putting more weight on the inside footpeg

which would keep the Bike tracking true.( effectively lower the centre of Gravity)
Met a Mechanic who used to work on Production Race Bike,s and showed me a few tricks they used to bend the Rules, fit Two Inlet Cam sprockets , changing the Cam overlap which made it pull like a Tractor from 500 rpm to 11000 Rpm.
BTW the Honda 900F dodge they Pulled was to replace the Pistons with items from the Honda 6 , same Bore , Higher Compression!

Herman a Friend of Mine, was Part Owner of The Bike Hospital and had a Custom sprayed , Tank , Side-Covers and Tailpiece , which he swapped me , and I fitted a Full Fairing.
One of the Guys at Kawasaki's race team was looking for 900 Barrels , in order to put in 998 cc Moriwaki pistons ( standard 1000 Barrels were actually 1016cc) Swapped me a Brand new Set for mine , Bike was even quicker.

I loved going on Breakfast Runs and would race anything that moved , In retrospect , what a strange Father of 3?

When the Honda 6 came out it was about the fastest thing you could get up to then but My Kawa would easily stay with it. Man that Honda's Motor was Smooth

Thank You, you have excellent taste followed.

I don't really know much about bikes but this bad boy does look like a beast . Pretty sure your brother is a little reluctant to let it go hahahaha

Don't know?,did come to visit me in Hospital?

no bro... just followed you a few days back..what happened

That is still to come in the Motorcycle series, basically these things occured quite some time ago, I am writing down my life story in small chunks on Steemit. Thank You, for reading, appreciate it.

you are welcome brother , just started stalking your posts haha

A lot of people are crazy, cruel and negative. They got a little too much time on their hands to discuss everybody else. I have a limited amount of energy to blow in a day. I'd rather read something that I like or watch a program I enjoy or ride my damn motorcycle or throw back a couple of shots of tequila with my friends

Those bikes ard perfect. So kool

that's true .I love bikes

Thank you for the visit and comment.
