Breaking Out The Bike - Time For A Tune UpsteemCreated with Sketch.

in motorcycles •  7 years ago

My current bike is a 1986 Virago XV1100. The Virago has a v-twin engine and utilizes a shaft drive instead of a chain or belt. It's a pretty old bike but it has been well taken care of and is a blast to ride.

The time has come to do a little tune up on the cruiser. Here are a few of the things I will be doing over the next few days:

  • Oil change with new filter (Mobil 1 v-twin 20W-50 Full Synthetic & Emgo Oil Filter - Standard 10-79100)
  • New spark plugs (Bosch (4018) WR8DP+ Platinum Plus)
  • New fuel filter (Yamaha 1FK245601000 Fuel Filter)
  • Cleaning the carburetors
