Motorola introduces New Moto G5S Plus and Moto X4

KUALA LUMPUR: Lenovo Mobile and Motorola Mobility today officially launched the new Moto G5S Plus and Moto X4.

The Moto G5S Plus is the first in its G-series to sport a 13MP dual camera. Combined with special photo enhancement software and camera modes, it makes a beautiful blurred background (bokeh) effect.

Users can have fun with the ‘selective black and white’ function which can turn background into black and white or select any object to highlight its colour.

The front camera is packed with 8MP wide-angle lens with LED flash and a new panoramic mode to capture even more people and landscape in a selfie.

Moto G5S Plus has a 5.5-inch full-HD display, supports for 4G LTE and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.0GHz octa-core processor.

The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, equipped with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.

With 3,000mAh battery power, it is said to last through the day, but even when users have to charge, the battery can be fueled up quickly with the TurboPower charger, which provides up to 6 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Moto X4 features a smarter camera that can do more than just capture photos. The new ‘Landmark/Object Recognition’ feature allows the camera to serve as your eye to the world – just point the lens at an object of interest and it can tell more information about the landmark or object that you’re seeing.

Users can also do more with its dual 12MP and 8MP rear cameras and advanced camera software. Blur the background, select black and white or highlight colour, even change the background after taking a picture, or simply use the professional mode for manual settings.

For selfies, the 16MP front camera does not disappoint. It comes with adaptive low light mode for night time selfie while the panoramic mode will deliver a broader background.

The phone has a 5.2-inch full-HD display and is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 2.2GHz octa-core processor with a 3,000 mAh battery.

Also running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the phone has a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, and supports up to 2TB with a separate microSD card.

Rainy days ahead? Not to worry as the Moto X4 is IP68-rated so they're protected from dust and water including accidental spills, splashes and even puddles.

The Moto G5S Plus is available in Lunar Gray and Blush Gold, and is priced at RM999. While Moto X4 is available in Super Black and Sterling Blue, and retails for RM1,899.

Both models are now available at Motorola brand stores and authorised dealer outlets nationwide, or on Motorola’s official e-store on Lazada Malaysia. For purchase of the new Moto G5S Plus from Lazada between Nov 6 to Nov 11, customers will receive special freebies worth RM587.
