Earlier today, at the the qualifying session of the last Grand Prix of Malaysia, Ferrari driver and championship contender Sebastian Vettel had to change his power unit before the qualifyings.
But things didn't work well for him as he couldn't set a time making him start last tomorrow while the Briton Lewis Hamilton has took his 70th career pole position.
Vettel’s title hopes have been dealt a setback for the second race in a row. After he crashed out in the opening lap at Singapore Grand Prix two weeks ago after having started from pole. This time again he'll have start from last position of the grid.
The gap between Hamilton and Vettel is 28 points but the German was looking optimistic as he declared at the post qualifying interviews:
“I think we have a very quick car this weekend so we should be able to make up a lot of ground,”
“We saved a lot of tyres, we can choose the strategy so there's a lots of positives"
