A panoramic view from above Homer Alaska - For #mountainmonday

Last month Jan 18th was a pretty nice day. I need another nice day to go back to the Homer Hill Pull out. An overlook area of the Homer Spit, and, as you can see, has a beautiful view of the mountains. I did not overlap my photo's enough for my panoramic program to stitch them together, so I just used the paint program, I am not that good at the merging of images as you can see with the overlap lines.

This first image is two pictures pasted together to give a wider view and was a zoomed in set. I should have done a few more, but should of-could ofs-well history is what it is. These two are to the left of the Homer Spit.

This is a series of four pictures pasted together, once again, slightly off the mark of enough overlap to use the Panoramic program, like I said, maybe I'll get it right next time. This series of four shots are to the right of the Homer Spit, there was more to show, but they were washed out and at a different zoom.

Caution clicking on the big picture button, they are big pictures and may take a little bit to load, especially the last set of four.

#mountainmonday is a tag that was brought to us by @keithboone, to see mountains without stitch lines his blog would be a good place to start.

Still learning, still trying, still having fun with my camera, and tags.

Howdy there bashadow! wow what a view! Absolutely stunning and breath-taking! I bet the air is so clean and clear up there. These are perfect photos for the tag, great job!

That's actually really cool. I like the shot of the 4 pictures together. Looks like an amazing experience to see. I dont think that the lines in the image from the photos overlapping slightly, detracts from it at all. I think it's kind of cool

Thank you, I just read the help page for the pano program I use and it said at least 1/4 of the pictures need to overlap to get a good stitching together done. So still hoping for another nice day to try again. Like they say try try try again, and one day you will have it down pat.

You live in an area with some of the most spectacular scenery I've ever seen! I guess you're used to hearing that by now... I love how the panoramas give a better view of the mountain range. Excellent post, thank for sharing with Mountain Monday! Voted and resteemed :-)

I'm still looking at the real estate guide trying to decide which house I would like to buy. You may have to help pick one out for me! Man is a beautiful up there!

thats rather amazing. You must of had some hike, it looks rather high?

I have a panoramic setting on my phone for pictures that does all that stitching, I just have to move the camera around. Not that I ever used it after the first try 😂

No hike at all for that view, it was from the overlook, so just pulled the car in got out and got some nice shots. It is a pretty nice little pullout with a really awesome view. Yeah my phone has that also, but the camera does not, so will have to get some more overlap on next try, but they are saying we may get another 6 inches or more of snow in the next day or two. Still hope to make it down on another nice weather day to try again.

ah so it was a drive then, I was wondering lol, it would take me a year to hike that high lololololololol

Dear @bashadow

Please accept my apology for this comment (not related to the topic of your publication).

I would like to thank you for voting on me in that "20k delegation" contest.

The only thing is that I'm trying to build an alliance with @SteemChurch (Venezuelan community) and I would need to ask you to open this link and change your vote to @SteemChurch.

Sorry, but I will not change my vote. I have on occasion voted for a post at a lower power setting than I wanted and have changed those votes, but I don't like changing my votes. It is a bad habit for people to get into, and it is one I will not get into.

Personally I do not think d-poll should be allowing for changing of votes, it nullifies the entire thing and allows for gaming and bad actors to control the narrative. Once a person votes that should be their vote. There should be no changing of it at the last minute. A group could come in and vote a particular person/issue/item, and drive it up in votes giving false hope to the individual/issue/item, only to change their vote two hours before the close of the poll removing all their votes and throwing them at something else.

Sorry, but my vote is going to stand.

Hi @bashadow

I'm sorry for such a late reply. I only read your comment right now (somehow I seem to miss it).

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.

Turned out that it's not allowed any more.

Sorry, but my vote is going to stand.

Absolutely. I respect that.
