You are so right about mountains. There is a sense of wonder about them that no other natural landscape can provide.

What I think it is, for me, is that they are the one type of landscape that humans have not fully conquered. We can irrigate the desert and build huge cities there. We can chop down the jungle and build huge cities there. We can build huge cities on the coastline, on the steppes, but we can't do it in the mountains. You only ever see small towns and villages in big mountains.

There is something so romantic about driving a twisty mountain road or going on a mountain hike. Especially when it's summer but the mountain is still high enough to have snow, that's something that always inspires awe within me.

Which country are you from? Where do you like to go climbing? My favourite country for mountains is Pakistan.

Hi! I'm from Venezuela. And I never thought it that way, but I think you're right cause' mountains offer you a totally different experience from the normal flat trekking, or just going for a walk into the woods. Reaching the top in always going to be much interesting, cause' it requires some sort of conquering, as you say. Here, in my country we excel in mountains, and there's plenty to do, plenty high peaks to conquer, just by climbing or just hiking. Hopefully, I'll have the chance to hike elsewhere. :)

I think the people that live in the mountains are different to the people that live anywhere else. I think they are a little more wild and in touch with nature.

I would love to visit Venezuela some day. I know there are political problems there, but I have also been to Pakistan and Iraq, so those kinds of things don't bother me too much. I think that every country has some value to offer.

Your photography is really nice. I'm going to follow your blog for more beautiful photos and inspiration from Venezuela. Also, I would really appreciate it if you would check out my blog. I'm also new on Steemit and I'm here to tell my story about travelling from India to Germany without using an aeroplane.

Cool! That sounds so cool. Will follow u too.

Awesome! You can find the first step of my journey here.
