Bishops Castle in beautiful Colorado!

Hey guys I know haven't posted in .. like forever! But I've been gone capturing hopefully good content all around Colorado after I moved from Texas! Hope ya'll enjoy 😁

So to start, this castle was built buy 1 man, and he continues to add onto the building to this day! Some visitors have seen the man working on his masterpiece!!

Jim Bishop bought the land back in 1969 for just $450. The now "castle" is located in south central Colorado on State Highway 165 in the Wet Mountains of Southern Colorado in the San Isabel National Forest, southwest of Pueblo, Colorado!

Its magnificent now, but at first, Jim bought the land to build a family cottage. The idea for the castle started when various neighbors noted that a rock structure that he built around his cottage looked similar to that of a castle.

Here you can see that Jim even made underground entrances including a giant "drawbridge" style entrance just threw the tunnels.

Here is the the small scale idea of the castle! Though it looks much different from Jim's rough draft, the castle is still an amazing piece of art!
