International real estate agency, Christie's, which deals with the sale and investments in luxury real estate around the world, wants to build a self-sufficient and environmentally friendly private islands that can be rented or bought by wealthy.
Private Islands Amillarah, allowing customers to choose the shape, size, style, architecture and even the location of the island. So you can, if you have enough money (price not yet disclosed), think of a tropical paradise in the Maldives, the urban floating apartment in New York, with its own beach hut along the African coast or something.
It is a unique, custom-designed floating infrastructure, designed by Dutch architectural visionary Koen Olthuis.
Environmentally friendly floating islets held to be entirely self-sufficient, will be equipped with the most advanced green technologies and should not adversely affect the environment. Adapted to the tide of the sea, it would represent a new underwater habitat of living resources. Warranty on such islands will be at least a 100 years.
The first artificial islands will be in Maldives, Dubai and Miami. Koen Olthuis firm Dutch Docklands designs innovative architectural projects that explore new possibilities of living on and near the water - it is a skill perfected by the Dutch for centuries.
