The Winners for the Motivational Video Contest

Good day, Steemheads!

Here are the winners for the motivational video contest I held last month. My apologies, this took awhile. I loved all the entries and I think of doing this contest again in the future. Sadly, the contest happened when Steem/SBD was in a dip and the prizes are not so much but we'll do better next time and I'd prolly save up for it so it won't have to be affected by the market.

Without further ado, here are the winners:

Mermaidvampire's Motivational Video Contest "The Indigenous Children / Katutubong Kabataan / Lumad na Kabatan onan / Netibo iya'n kan'ho bata'a

My late big brother and I was into humanitarian causes and one thing we were both passionate about was the protection of IPs or indigenous peoples. We were in touch with projects with the Mamanwas, the Badjaos, the Tausugs and the Manobos. My brother was into it but he wanted me to take part in documenting and researching and preserving their culture and heritage specifically their literature. This was his last request to me before he died, in an email he sent me a request to document their literature. But this was just something I do on my free time and it came in a time when I was so busy with my own life, so I was not able to make it.

Seeing this video made me cry because it feels like it's something that calls me. I am so glad to have met @uwander in this platform. He reminds me so much of my late brother. What he is doing is selfless. I know how it can be so exhausting to do what he does and how very unrewarding it is if you think of money, but seeing the smiles of IPs and having them treat you like one of them is more than you could ask for.

Thank you @uwanderer for making this video and I hope I can visit you soon. I'd be glad to meet your students and this community you serve for. I am saving and packing up to visit you soon and I'm almost 100% certain it will push through. Hahaha! Watch out!

I will always be impressed and grateful to the people who feel for patients with chronic illness. I am chronically ill and I know how much compassion from other people really means so much to us. I think the sick are the ones that live painful and miserable lives in this Earth and understanding them and helping them ease what they're going through is a noble thing one can do. This motivational video made by @normalguy is for @cryptopie, a dialysis patient who has been on dialysis for more than 10 years and still fighting. He is a admirable and known Steemian in the platform. Thank you @normalguy, just shows how you have your heart in the right place and you feel so much for people.

Mermaidvampire's Motivational Video Contest

Mami @olivia08 made not just one video but 2 videos for her grandkids and for her only child. I will always feel for family. Our families are our sanctuaries and they should be the best reason why we do what we do, why we sacrifice so much in this life for. As parents, near or far from them we should always be their guide and light in navigating this world. I am deeply touched by her message to her son and the background music moved me to tears as well, it was an intrumental version of the song, "Anak." I am so impressed of what @olivai08 is doing in this platform and how she conquers obstacles in her life battles and how she wins them. Thank you for inspiring us, always.

2nd Prize: 1.9 * 0.15 == 0.285 + 0.5 == 0.785 SBD
3rd Prize: 1.9 * 0.10 == 0.19 + 0.5 == 0.69 SBD
Consolation Prize: 1.9 * 0.5/4 == 0.2375 == 0.237 SBD > 3rd Prize

The consolation Prize is > than the 3rd Prize so @mermaidvampire is adding prize to the top 3 winners of 0.5 SBD each.

Another Update Post was made earlier and @mermaidvampire promised to give the payout of that post to the prize as well, equally distributed to the contestants. Here is the earnings of that post:

2.204 Steem / 7 == 0.314 Steem each contestant

3rd Prize: 0.69 SBD + 0.125 SBD == 0.815 SBD + 0.314 Steem
Consolation Prize: 0.237 SBD + 0.125 SBD == 0.362 + 0.314 Steem

10-5-5SPs were delegated to them, as well, respectively.

*** I updated @olivia08's delegation, it shows 15SP instead of 5SP because I have promised to delegate to her 10SP by default since the creation of her new second account.
