Hi Steamians,

I have seen every Alien movie other then 2017 Alien Covenant. I imagine most people have seen the Alien movies but if you are have NOT yet seen the original Alien 1979 then CLOSE this page and go watch it. Trust me it's worth it and I don't want to spoil it for you. This review has spoilers YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

While the credits where rolling for the movie is saw that it was:

"a Ridley Scott film"

wow! That was back in 1979. How old is he since he directed Alien Covenant as well? Anyway that is just a side note.

So who is the main actor in this movie? Sigourney Weaver! Right? Well that is what I thought. But when the actors credits rolled in the beginning it was not Sigourney who showed up first!

WAIT - WHAT?

Trust me, I was in shock myself.

It was Tom Skerritt and then Sigourney! (If you don't believe me watch the movie again).

Why Tom First? My guess at that point is that Tom didn't make it to the end of the movie but was bitter start at that time? Just speculating here, what do you think?

The intro is slow and creepy. And even after all these decades I cant think of a creepier intro to a movie. And we are only seconds into the move. Wait, we are not into the movie yet, we are into the credits.

And did I mention that the Jerry Goldsmith score conducted by Lionel Newman is creepy?

The movie starts with Nostromo with 20 million tons of ore returning to Earth. What can possibly go wrong? Well that is what the movie is about.

The camera start moving around the dark metallic creepy hallways of the Nostromo. It's a real good way to set the state for what is about the "go down" in the movie.

Even all those decades ago the way they show the interior of the ship and the computer waking up was just fascinating.

The movie hasn't started yet but I noticed the hallway was padded similar to the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars 1977. Am I wrong to think this?

Ok, before I go to far. Is this something you want to read about in a decades old movie? Should I just not do it? If yes I'll do part 2 and so on. Thanks.
