PLOT: The elite 'AAA' rated bodyguard, Michael Bryce, has a tough time in his professional career. He gets hired to protect the infamous imprisoned hitman Darius Kincaid, who's apparently his arch nemesis. Bryce gets the responsibility to take him to the International Court of Justice so that he can testify against Vladislav Dukhovich, the bloodthirsty dictator of Belarus who's accused of ethnic cleansing. The two puts their differences and rivalry aside to work together against all odds to reach the court within 27 hours.

REVIEW: The Hitman's Bodyguard is written by Tom O'Connor, who is famous for making it to the “2011 Black List” because of his scripts. The film is primarily centered upon the two protagonists, Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson). The story revolves around their professional achievements and failures, their love life and the core of the plot, in which they struggle to reach the court within the given time.

The film is an enriched mixture of some top-notch action aided with a great sense of humor, which highlights the comic gesture of the film to a great extent. The most fascinating part of the film is the stunning chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, depicting intense rivalry in the beginning which goes on to become a strong bond of friendship in the end. The scenes describing their “love at first sight” in awkward moments were nostalgic. The great Gary Oldman, being the antagonist of the film as Vladislav Dukhovich, justified the tyranny of the dictatorship to an amazing extent with his skillful acting. Even though the concept of being the bodyguard of a hitman sounds amazing, but as time goes on, the film proves to be the plot of a mere commercial film. Moreover, viewers may not take the excessive usage of abusive terms positively. Apart from these two blemishes, the film is action-packed and full of comedy. Action lovers will definitely enjoy this film.
